About Laura Dunham

 My Story

Born and raised in Detroit, MI, I’ve lived in nine states across the U.S. as well as a Canadian province. I’ve visited more than forty countries. Moving on to new adventures and challenges has been a theme in my life. I’m not afraid of change, but I also value community and have maintained networks of friends, family, and colleagues around the world.

I’m a double Pisces, destined from birth to become a spiritual teacher, healer, and leader. I was blessed to be born into a family that valued education, work, and community. A lifelong learner, I accumulated B.A., M.A., M. Div., and Ph.D. degrees, along with substantial certificates in financial planning and spiritual formation.

I’ve had three careers: higher education (college professor, dean, and vice president), financial planning (practiced in Princeton, NJ, was a newspaper columnist, widely quoted in major media), and ministry (pastor of churches, governing body administrator). I’ve served on a number of nonprofit boards and held leadership positions. All of these experiences contributed in significant ways to who I am now. I chose early retirement from the ministry a few years ago (I’m now 64) because I wanted to write, teach, and heal, unlimited by conventional belief systems. I know that everything is connected and that all spiritual paths lead to Oneness. Part of my work is helping people to realize that and release their old paradigm thinking.

I’ve been on a very intentional spiritual path most of my life and have had many experiences that confirm my spiritual connection with Source energy and guidance. My left and right brains are pretty well balanced, and according to a recent test my brainwave levels are off the charts when I focus on meditating and healing. That test confirms the strength of my spiritual alignment, something to which I am deeply committed.

I’ve written several books, the most recent of which is Graceful Living: Your Faith, Values, and Money in Changing Times. I’m working on two books now, one on Spiritual Mastery and the other a spiritual autobiography.

For over a year, I have spent a week a month in metro Detroit, opening the area to spiritual energy healing through Arcing Light by offering introductory workshops and training practitioners and teachers to help shift consciousness and promote wellbeing. With a number of gifted people now in place to perpetuate Arcing Light in that area, I am open to other such opportunities in other locations. I am focusing now on teaching and leading spiritual energy healing missions to places to which I am spiritually guided. Having already led groups to Egypt and Panama in 2007, I am taking a group of healers to Scotland in October.

I live in Chapel Hill with my husband, Alden, a retired foundation executive, and our companion dog, Maggie. My son, Tom Adams, lives nearby. Tom’s a natural psychic, very gifted. Alden’s four children and our six grandchildren live in NJ, GA, and Nepal. We have a fascinating family.
